曾锦德先生绘画境界很高，观其画，使人耳目一新，信笔一挥而成的水墨有超脱之感，使人心生愉悦。曾先生别开一路之画风及行笔如狂草般点线飞动的画面格局，令人惊奇不已。
听闻曾先生为泉州人，一生隐逸超俗，不为他人言论左右，自来自往的孤傲使他的画境近乎巴黎、东京的艺术家的境界。福建自古四海为家的家族众多，思路广阔，是出天才的福地，出现曾先生是有其基础环境的。天才的出现，其非易事，大环境不良不行，人生经历更是主因，其人性格更是重要因素。
读先生的画，知道他热爱水墨，对中国传统有过刻苦学习，由此而起，曾先生的创作动机是自我表现的吐纳式狂写。他热爱水墨，执着用墨来书写人生感悟，其作品被范迪安院长高度赞扬，认为超越时代。
我们从他留给我们的作品看到他的人生追求及梦想，人生的梦想是一个人追求幸福的最高心境。曾锦德先生将梦化为艺术作品，用快而飞动的草书式艺术语言讲述人生，用色与墨表现感受及人生感悟。
尽管他的人生曲折多变，环境亦有不利，但曾先生将用墨、用色、用笔交融在一起，形成宽广心胸的画面空间，仁智在心，用笔轻快，墨色浓淡交融，使观画者感到灵魂被解放，心生跃动。
曾锦德先生于2006年离世，留下许多艺术作品，这是我们的宝贵遗产，为那个时代留下独特而新鲜的艺术。品味他的画，令人回味无穷。

Zeng Jinde’s artistic realm was highly accomplished. Viewing his paintings is refreshing and inspiring; his spontaneous ink brushwork carries a sense of transcendence that brings joy to the viewer. His unique style, with brushstrokes flying like cursive script, creates compositions full of movement and vitality, which never fails to amaze.
Hailing from Quanzhou, Zeng lived a reclusive and transcendent life, unshaken by others’ opinions. His independent spirit elevated his work to the level of artists in Paris and Tokyo. Fujian, historically home to wide-ranging and outward-looking families, provided a fertile environment for talent; yet the emergence of a genius is never easy. Life experiences and personal character were crucial factors in shaping his art.
Studying his works, one can see his deep love for ink painting and his dedicated study of Chinese tradition. His creative motivation stems from a spontaneous, expressive practice. His devotion to ink painting, capturing his life experiences and insights, has been highly praised by Fan Di’an, who considers his work to transcend its time.
Through the works he left behind, we can perceive his life pursuits and dreams — the highest state of human aspiration for happiness. Zeng Jinde transformed his dreams into art, using a fast, cursive-like visual language to narrate his life, and employing color and ink to express his emotions and reflections.
Despite a life full of twists and turns and adverse circumstances, Zeng’s integration of ink, color, and brushwork creates a spacious visual realm reflecting his broad mind and wisdom. His lively brushstrokes and balanced tones evoke a sense of liberation and vitality in the viewer.
Zeng Jinde passed away in 2006, leaving behind a wealth of artworks, a precious heritage that brought fresh and unique art to his era. Appreciating his paintings is a rich and enduring experience.
